This result-oriented action think tank is hosted by me, Joachim Sandstrom. I do this because I am in love with the idea of business knowledge, the engine of global wealth, being shared. To complement your great contributions, I will invite colleagues from my network of C-levels and management consultants. Some of these have contributed their insights during the initial phases of this project, and they all have 20-30 years of business experience.
We are all looking forward to meeting you.
I have developed business visions and strategies to propel my client companies to where they belong — ahead of the pack. I have led program and project management within strategic change initiatives, where I have grabbed the devil’s horns to make the mulish details happen. As a passionate chaos pilot, I have excelled in acute project recoveries. I now provide coaching and rocket fuel for CEOs and C-level executives. I consider myself a surprisingly sane crossbreed of a dyed-in-the-wool knowledge junkie and a live wire.
As a side job, I kamikaze-drove taxi cabs on weekend nights during my six years at Lund University. I grabbed a couple of BSc degrees in business administration and informatics on the go.
The first half of the 1990s I spent in IKEA's infotech department and the second half as the administrative manager for the Swedish IKEA retail organisation. IKEA is consistently the most popular employer in Sweden year after year, so this was a valuable experience and introduction to the business world.
Viewing management consulting as a valuable learning opportunity, I joined a company in Stockholm/Sweden just in time to experience the dot-com boom at the turn of the millennium. From a front-row seat, I witnessed its dramatic crash and burn. To regain some control over my opportunities, I then founded the Able Management Advisors consulting firm in 2001. It has been my office hours love ever since.
Respectfully yours,
Joachim Sandstrom
